Japan day 1, Sep 1 - So neat and orderly!

Breezed through immigration and customs in Narita International outside Tokyo. It's already crazy to me how few people speak English even at the airport. Though there is a strong possibility that despite the clear American passport, they just speak Japanese to me because I'm Asian.

The lines were about as easy and quick as they were long and slow in Santiago. After immigration, I walked to the baggage claim, and my checked bag was already sitting there in a neat line waiting for me to pick it up. As if that weren't amazing enough, when going through security, the "TSA equivalent" put my small camera bag in a basket for me and my larger red duffel on top of two upside-down baskets before sending them through the x-ray. I hadn't even noticed he did that.

The airport itself is pretty bare bones in the domestic terminal. I'm just waiting at a charging station trying to figure out where I'm going to sleep tonight. The flight to Sapporo actually flies into the New Chitose airport... Which is an eight hour walk to Sapporo according to Google so scratch that plan.

Oh and a couple other things to note:
1) Airport food here is so much cheaper than the states.
2) They sell porno magazines likes it's no big deal.
